What is IELTS?

IELTS has been developed by some of the world’s leading language assessment experts and it tests the full range of English skills needed for success in students to study abroad, job and migration. The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world’s most popular English language proficiency test to study abroad and global migration.

The IELTS results are recognized by more than 10,000 organizations, including educational institutions, employers, professional associations and governments, in 140 countries around the world. Governments in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom use IELTS to process immigration applications.

Students can choose to take their IELTS exam either on paper or computer, depending on their convenience. IELTS is conducted by two different bodies that are British Council IELTS (UK) and IDP (Australia). There are two types of Modules in IELTS – Academic and General depending on the purpose of the student taking the test.
